The Solutions ✅

Inventory: Separated weapons into clear categories (Rifles, Shotguns, Pistols, etc.) using nested tabs underneath the umbrella option. Weapons automatically organized based on their Tier, to better organize the player's selection.

Journal: Focused on visual hierarchy between main and side missions through stronger color coding and iconography, allowing players to instantly recognize priority missions. Added a "Recommended" marker to help nudge players in the right direction to keep players engaged.

Outcomes!

My Experience ⭐

  • Learned how to quickly turn around designs within a short time frame.

  • Gained a deeper understanding of recreating a game's UX/UI while keeping the integrity and feel of the game's original design.

  • Learned how to recreate an already great interface and further adapt it to provide more solutions for player's wants and needs.

Post-Mortem

As a big enjoyer of the medieval fantasy genre, it was awesome to explore other genres in terms of design. It was really fun to step into a Sci-fi world and learn how to adapt to different styles and feels of UX/UI design, keeping the players immersed while improving their experience through the interface.
